The Auto-MDI function supports automatic MDI/MDIX crossover detection function and gives true plug and play' capability without the need of confusing crossover cables or crossover ports. This allows users to simply plug a 10/100Mbps Ethernet into any port and do the hub-to-hub connection without any setup process.
