Australian writer/illustrator Kerrie Hess is the author of Girl Secrets and Girls Only. She began her foray into publishing at 18 with her first book, The Field Guide to the Human Species (Penguin Books). Since then, she has written for The Independent in London, co-created beauty brand Femme Fatale Cosmetics (with sister Megan Hess) and designed a T-shirt range for cult Japanese brand 'INDIVI' in Tokyo. Kerrie regularly illustrates for Tatler (UK), Neiman Marcus Department Store (USA), The Times (UK), Chronicle Books (USA), Elle (France) and Vogue Australia. Numerous book covers, packaging, advertising and editorials all around the world feature Kerrie's work. Having lived in Brisbane, London and Hong Kong, she now lives in Melbourne, Australia with her French sweetheart, Sebastien.
