In the eighth book in the Adventures with the Parkers series, the Parkers visit Glacier National Park in Montana. As they enjoy the waterfalls and uniquely sculpted mountains while the park's glaciers glimmer above them, the Parkers learn that because of global warming, the glaciers may not last much longer. During their family hikes they encounter a lot of wildlife, including moose, mountain goats, and grizzly bears, but the smoke and flames of summer fires may thwart their vacation plans. Author Biography

Mike Graf has shared his writing as well as his weather and national park experiences with children and teachers in hundreds of schools. Graf currently instructs part-time at Chico State University, teaching classes in child development and children's literature, and is a weather man for KHSL-TV. He visits many national parks each year. Marjorie Leggitt is a nationally recognized professional scientific illustrator, with clients such as the Denver Museum of Nature and Science, Missouri Botanical Gardens, Monterey Bay Aquarium, Miami Science Museum, and many text and trade book publishers. Leggitt currently teaches botanical illustration at the Denver Botanic Gardens School of Botanical Art and Illustration.
