Description

The thesis titled, "Globalization-its implications, fluctuations and repercussions for the Muslim Ummah" was undertaken to resolve a key issue in the Muslim World today which is the domination of one global economy and its repercussions specified for the Muslim Ummah. The scope of the research includes the negative aftermath of Globalization on the Muslim Economies in general and the Ummah at large. However the scope does not include the precise economic scenario of globalization in the Muslim World (as the thesis is bound to prove the ill-effects of globalization) on the Muslim society. The research methodology comprised of adaptation, surveys, criticism and personalized opinion. The research and data was analyzed by using telephone interviews, internet and Books. Supporting illustrations have been added to facilitate understanding of the research data. The main findings of the research are Globalization is not restricted to the economy; Terrorism exists because of the existence of globalization; Globalization is a means of acquiring' one world order'. The researcher understands that there could be subsequent reasons for those findings. One, misrepresentation of facts relating to globalization; two, meager understanding based on one sided application; three, misinterpretation of the one world order. Nevertheless, Globalization acts as a nuisance for the Muslim Ummah; if installed according to Islam, globalization can act as a driving force for unison of one global community; World economies dominated by the Capitalistic are the edifice of globalization. The researcher has undertaken a sincere effort in understanding globalization and hopes that the findings and suggestions in the thesis will be beneficial to the Muslims in general and the entire human race at large.
