Wow, what a box! Filled to the brim with bits and pieces, figures and a 50-page rulebook, this game is a high-quality giant that is very well put together. The game is a little complicated for the inexperienced, but the game does flow easily enough once you understand everything. Biggest issue with the game is the HUGE amount of time it takes to set-up. With approximately 100 hours of content, what you get out of this game is more than enough to justify its cost.

I was stunned by the quality of what was in the box. Great game.
Gloomhaven is an amazing game of amazing mechanics and epic proportions. There is 10 kilograms of cardboard in the mammoth box, but once the pieces are sorted into a storage solution of choice, and the game set up, it's actually quite pleasing to play through!
There is plenty of opportunity to role play your character, and the world itself is rich with lore. The game provides room to be cheeky with quests of different types, leading to a gameplay experience where players will be selfish unless the group needs to huddle to beat a hard room of enemies. This makes every game a close, exciting one!
