How many children do you know being partially or fully raised by someone other than their biological parent? Often, blended parents and children have a different sets of values, priorities, beliefs, morals, personalities and temperaments. With that in mind, it is likely that adjustments are needed in parenting to lessen the struggles for the child. In a perfect world, one would hope the differences would complement each other, but instead they are often overwhelming, which results into evolving feelings of frustration and anger with the child being caught in the middle. This book helps to gain perspective in order to live a healthier life. The writer has faith that praying and focusing on God would bring light and peace to the family so those involved are not caught in the darkness of negativity and anger. Using this book as a guideline, the writer was able to enter a more peaceful home environment in her blended family and hopes that others will be able to find that same peace as well.
