"Good movie"

When I watched this for the first time after getting it on Blu Ray, I thought it was good.

"Not so good but enjoyable."
3 stars"

I've given it 3 stars because I couldn't give it 2.5 stars and my opinion is mixed. While it's not exactly a good movie, it is visually acceptable. I do have some good to say about the movie. The costumes were well done and the romantic scenes were done right. The gods' transformation sequences were impressive and the ending was satisfying. The special effects and action scenes were well done for the most part, but the movie feels like it's in the wrong places all the time. The characters and screenplay are a disaster. Although the story closely follows Ancient Egyptian Mythology canon, The way the characters are presented and their dialogue are absolutely embarrassing. There are times when I cringed. The actors are not cast ethnically correctly, apart from a couple female actresses who were more or less suitable for their parts. The humor is stale and out of place and the main characters don't seem to have any depth, like they're just puppets hanging from the director's strings. The legendary Horus is shamefully depicted. He is unthoughtful, unresourceful and unmotivated. He is the worst movie hero I've seen. God help us if they make a sequel. They should've treated Ancient Egyptian Mythology with a lot more respect. Watch this movie to fall asleep.
