Description

Good and Evil in Afghanistan is a pair of unusual war novels, starring children, women, and old people. In The Legend of the Alone Stranger (inspired by a true story), an old tribesman believes himself to be the Lone Ranger, and, wearing a black mask, he charges off to do battle against the entire Soviet Army. The second novel, The March of the Frozen Martyrs, is all about Afghan children during the current American war.
