Gran Turismo Sport Day One Edition reviews

If your a GT Fan … please steer clear of this game! I spent over $200 dollars only to discover that the traditional GT single player (solo campaign) Mode has gone and been replaced with an online only option … I will be putting this game away now … Mighty Ape, you need to include a popup or something that lets players of games know that these games are mostly online based as some of us can't afford to do the online option!

Forget previous GT games. This one has been remapped and requires internet connection just to save your game. Career mode is pretty much getting your licence. And arcade mode is just racing with AI. Got boring really quickly. The only plus side are the graphics, but thats about it really. I wasted my 100 bucks on a game i have been waiting a while for.

The next-gen Gran Turismo game is here on the PS4 & what differentiates this sequel from its predecessors is that it focuses on online game progression (requires internet connection at all times), and it lacks a wealth of cars & tracks that its previous versions have. Other than the photo-realistic vehicles, there are other positive things about GT Sport like the revamped Audio system, as in you can be able to hear the proper vehicular sounds this time, livery editor: be able to design our own decals, and all-new Scape mode that allows you to put a vehicle on a photo-realistic background from real world locations.

Overall, this is in fact a signature GT title that still has a similar experience from its predecessors. Time will tell if the developers will add more contents during GT Sports life time hehe!

As a big fan of the series I have to say I'm a little disappointed with this one. Definitely weak compared to Project Cars 2 and the latest Forza.

Though some gamers are ranting on lack of content, I still find it hard to ignore this franchise. Grew up with GT and loyal to it. This game looks marvelous!

This is not your gran turismo 3 as far as hype or depth of vehicles etc but it's thoroughly a great game. It looks beautiful in 4k and feels like a gran turismo game.

Really pissed, I thought it would be great for VR..NOT..don't buy if you want a very very small section in this game that is dedicated to VR ..very unhappy

ive been an GT player since number 1 and have longed for the next version even waiting for years for the next and this one was no different. Sadly i played it for about 3 days and then was done. very little content,cars and playable options.Driving is very arcade, i shouldnt be be able to spin out and still win with a lap to go. fingers crossed there is some heavy upgrades because it needs it . Project cars will still be the go to .

The next gen instalment is getting lots of free updates, very enjoyable. One downside, no servers in NZ or Australia mean we are stuck in Japanese servers, so a fibre connection is a must if you want to play competitively online.

Great to have it finally for my ps4

GT Sport is awesome in my opinion, and it keeps getting better with updates. Before you buy though you should be aware it is not like previous GT games and it essentially requires a constant internet connection. But that is worth it because it is all about racing online and improving your rank as you improve your skills

This was a game I was waiting in anticipation for, but then I heard it wasn't a campaign game that was the same as the old GT's. So I looked at my friends copy and you had to play the majority online. So I am not buying it. Great graphics though.

Next update from 27th Nov single player career mode like old school GT is getting added.

Overall a great game with very nice graphics and realism/physics as fans have come to expect with the GT series. It is missing a few features some of the older games had and is now mainly geared towards multiplayer with less of a single player campaign. Still I give it 8/10.
