You will learn about first coach Dennis Michie's first official football game in 1890 even before American football had been completely defined. Michie was not only the head coach of the first team in 1890, he was the team captain. Today the Stadium's name is in his honor. From here, the book moves you one Army coach at time through the immortals-Charles Daly, Biff Jones, Ralph Sasse, and Earl "Red" Blaik. And then, on the way to today, we stop for other fine coaches such as Bob Sutton and Jim Young. Army has had many great seasons with great coaches tomentor a ton of great players. The history of Army coaches as told here is just fascinating as is the entire Army football program. This book captures the many great coaching seasons and the contributions of each of the 37 head coaches and some of the standout players they helped to create such as Army's three Heisman winners, the immortal Felix "Doc" Blanchard, Pete Dawkins, and of course Glenn Davis. This book is for your reading pleasure but it also can be a great reference tool for when you want to see how well a job a particular coach did in any of the 127 years of the Army football program. Author Biography

Brian Kelly retired as an Assistant Professor in the Business Information Technology (BIT) Program at Marywood University, where he also served as the IBM i and Midrange Systems Technical Advisor to the IT Faculty. Kelly designed, developed, and taught many college and professional courses. He continues as a contributing technical editor to a number of technical industry magazines, including "The Four Hundred" and "Four Hundred Guru," published by IT Jungle. Kelly is a former IBM Senior Systems Engineer. His specialty was problem solving for customers as well as implementing advanced operating systems and software on his client's machines. Brian was a certified Army Instructor before retiring. He is the author of 125 books and hundreds of magazine articles. He has been a frequent speaker at technical conferences throughout the United States. Brian was a candidate for the US Congress from Pennsylvania in 2010 and he ran for Mayor in his home town in 2015. He loves Army Football and can't wait to see the Black Nights top last year's fine record. God bless the Army West Point Cadets!!
