Teaology: Dragonfly Cast Iron Teapot - Green (770ml) reviews

Looks nice, pours perfectly, tea has good taste, but… I bought hoping to having tea that stayed hot for quite a long time (based on another's review). What happens is it cools to warm relatively quickly, even with warming pot twice with boiling water prior to use. It will then seem to stay at that warm temperature, but I would prefer that it stayed hotter.

An excellent item to have when making your favourite brew. The heat from the iron brings out the true flavour of the tea and keeps it warm for a long time. Plus it looks great!

This pleasing green dragonfly teapot is an eyeopener. It is a squatty design and thus seems quite small, but I got three good cups of (green) tea from it. The stainless steel tea strainer is up to the job. Like all strainers you need to empty and flush it, not forgetting to flush the teapot as well. The tea does cool, but the first two cups were okay, with the third noticibly cooler by the time I got around to pouring it. Okay for two to three people. I love it. Use good quality tea, making sure the water is off the boil before filling the pre-heated pot. Best thing – no dribbles.

Love, love, love it. Pours beautifully, nice weight, and keeps it's contents fabulously warm.

I really like the dragonfly design and the colour green. Mighty Ape were very prompt with delivery and continually kept me informed as to the progress of the order. The only downfall of the teapot, as is with all things cast iron, is its weight.

Beautifully crafted, pours perfectly, the mesh insert contains the tea leaves for easy disposal, and it does indeed stay hot for up to an hour. Recommended.
