Gun in My Fathers Hand by Billy Childish
Sorry, this product is not currently available to order

This book contains lyrics by the poet laureate of the underdog. It includes all of Billy's major groups: The Pop Rivets, The Milkshakes, Thee Mighty Ceasars, Thee Headcoats and The Buff Medways. Gathered here are some of the best and worst lyrics of Wild Billy Childish, the dyslexic, self educated, painter, poet novelist and musician who for the past 30 years has waged a one man crusade against music industry cool, embracing many of his own demons along the way. Selected from a back catalogue of over 100 LPs, "Gun In My Father's Hand" includes new works as well as old favourites such as "You Make Me Die", the highly prophetic song written for his then girlfriend Tracey Emin in 1986 and the glorious "We Hate Fucking NME".
