Having recently discovered Deadpool (and the video game :) ) I was looking forward to a heap of snark from the Merc with the mouth, but found that this took some getting into. My big problem was not having the background in Hawkeye to understand his side of the story. Like most people, my intro to Hawkeye was via the Avengers movie, and this book does not fill in enough backstory. The writers assume that the reader knows the characters as well as they do. (Black cat, lady hawkeye-) All in all a fun read but not a good starting point if you do not have a good knowledge of the Marvel universe.
