Description

This study is concerned with the effectiveness and efficiency of health education. Since there are wide divergences of view about the purpose of health education, the author contends that indicators of performace should, logically be derived from a statement of the values underpinning programme goals. Although this book does not directly address the effectiveness of social policy changes in enhancing health, the postulated synergism between education and social policy should always be borne in mind when considering the efficiency of either kind of intervention.
