Author Biography

About the Author Richard Gartee is the author of four college textbooks on health information technology, computerized medical systems, managed care, and electronic health records. Prior to becoming a full time author and consultant, Richard spent 20 years in the design, development and implementation of leading medical practice and electronic health records systems. Richard served as Vice-President of Product Development and subsequently as Director of Design Strategy at Medical Manager Research & Development, Inc. He also served as a liaison to other companies in the medical computer industry as well as Blue Cross/Blue Shield, a U.S. Department of Commerce International Trade Mission and various universities.
