This show did start to take a down turn in what is refered to as volume 3.. however with writer Brian Fuller (pushing daisies) back on board for volume 4 things are spectacular! and looking up, the cinematography is amazing, the visual effects are awesome.. Those that are loyal followers of the show will notice that there were alot of guest appearance that keep reappearing and there became way too many regualr characters..However volume four takes care of the mess and heroes ends (as always) with you wanting more!

I would definitely get this season if you are a big fan of heroes
it is probably the best of the lot … if you have seen the past 2 seasons and get whats going on … if you don't get whats going on though then you probably won't enjoy this season because it has a lot more use of powers, and they say things in this season that requires you to have seen the first 2 sesason to get
so don't start off watching heroes with this season … start with season 1 and work your way up … other wise you will be lost
:D
First off: Do not waste your money on this set.
This show/season has sadly become all flash and no substance. I will tell you that I have seen every episode of this show so I am not purely bashing.
Season 1 of HEROES had to be some one of the most fresh television shows when it first aired with some great writing and acting. Sadly that stopped. Season 2 followed with a less than stellar season (Not that many will admit) which started HEROES decline in quality.
Season 3 starts off quite well with some new and interesting ideas but quickly starts to follow it's usual (now boring) structure (Someone sees a terrible future. The ‘heroes’ must stop it by using paintings of the future. Hiro does stupid stuff. Claire jumps from a window/building. Characters die then come back to life. And the ‘heroes’ end up saving the day by all coming together at the end).
Along with this the character development has gone downhill and fast. With your favorite characters making decisions which are not in character and only so the writers can get from point A to point B.
And don't even get me started on the ‘twist’ at the end…
Struggling to get through the first half, I had to wonder what the writers were thinking when they created ‘Villains’. It was slow, and the characters made some odd decisions just to get them to the next step. Thankfully it got better. The second half ‘Fugitives’ came back into the Heroes style with our favourite characters on the run from someone they never expected.
Delights, dread and damsels in distress you've gotta love Heroes
This season was as awesome and intriqing as all the Heroes DVDs have been
It was good to catch up on last seasons episode's as I missed some of them when they were on TV.
