A reference book more than a recipe book, based on Hestons' trials to create his Fantastical Feasts. If you watched the TV show, then you already know most of what is in this book. While some recipes are listed at the end of each chapter, not all are included even thought they are listed in his Menu page, specific to each chapter. For example, his Fairy Tale Feast list all the elements for the Gingerbread house, but the only recipe in the book with regards to it are the roof tiles; not the cake bricks, candy windows, chocolate door, etc. The production of the book is not as good quality as I thought it would be, and the photography lacks something as well; with very dark, odd or irrelevant photos, instead of the food. If you want to know how Heston thinks or creates his projects then it an interesting read. If you are looking for ALL of the recipes, they are not in this book. Overall, its okay for what it is, but its not what I wanted.
