Author Biography

David Horvath and Sun-Min Kim are a husband and wife team thanks to the Uglydolls! They met at art school where they began creating art and designing toys together. The Uglydolls were born in 2001 when overseas correspondence between the two progressed from David's 2D line drawings of a little orange, apron-wearing Ugly named Wage, to Sun-Min's 3D versions of this character. David, Sun-Min, and Uglydolls family (now over 20 characters) have been featured in numerous publications and TV shows ranging from The New York Times, People Magazine, Elle girl, Jane Magazine, Giant Robot, CNN, and The Today Show, and in stop windows around the world.
