This is a story of survival and complete family loyalty. There is danger and a sense of emptiness for one of the characters which is overcome by immense family loyalty and impressively strong friendships. As with all the stories in the Drakes Sisters series, if you read one you will want to read them all.

"Nicely done!!"
5 stars"

This book ended up being my second favourite of the series. It gets quite dark at the beginning, and I found myself saying eeeeeek! a couple of times but, Christine Feehan did it again with this one. Elle and Jackson's relationship up to this point, was kind of a guessing game. This book thankfully, goes through how it all started and why. They clash just enough to make you want to scream at them both...... and yet some how …fate will have it her way. Hannah , Jolie and all the girls are thrust into something they know nothing about, or how to fight, and thats half of the fun! Oh and even better NZ gets a mention!!! woohooooo : )

Description

From afar, Sheriff Jackson Deveau has always loved Elle Drake, the youngest telepath of seven magically gifted sisters. After a long time away she's finally returning home to the small coastal village of Sea Haven. But someone has been following Elle, someone who doesn't want her to make it back. And when Elle fails to arrive, her disappearance strikes fear in the hearts of everyone who loves her. Now it's left to Jackson to uncover the mystery of Elle's vanishing, and rescue her from an unseen danger. But Sea Haven is no longer safe for anyone, and it'll take the powers of all the Drake sisters and their men to survive the coming storm.

Review

Kidnapped by Stavros Gratsos, a powerful and sadistic psychic businessman, Elle Drake, the fiery-tempered telepathic youngest of the magically gifted Drake sisters, is rescued by her family and the man she loves, Jackson Deveau, but returns home a shattered shell. Jackson gradually draws her out of her mental hell, but Stavros wants Elle back, and he threatens to destroy everyone she loves to make it happen. While this is definitely Elle and Jackson's story, the Drake sisters and their mates join the fierce battle for their lives and their family's magical heritage. This intensely romantic tale is both tender and brutal, infinitely satisfying, and leaves the door open for more episodes in Feehan's (Burning Wild) popular "Drake Sisters" series. Library Journal
