Author Biography

George and Rhonda Ostertag bring thirty years of experience to their individual fields of photography and writing. They have worked independently and collaboratively to produce hundreds of articles and twenty outdoor guide and travel books. Their travels have taken them all across the United States.George brings to the partnership an extensive photo stock of more than 400,000 images, which grows daily. A geologist by training (B.S., Arizona State University) and a naturalist by heart, George finds beauty in all habitats. Shooting under natural lighting, George's itinerary is frequently set by the weather. He shuns the use of filters and other devices that produce special effects. "Nature is the artist," says George, "I'm just the recorder. But, finding the drama is a matter of being in the right place at the right time and knowing it."Rhonda daily exercises her B.A. in English. She has written and sold hundreds of articles to magazine and newspaper markets and ghosted for other writers. She has an unquenchable curiosity, reflected by the range of her subjects: from newlywed budgets and elephant seals to baking and Ice Age floods. Rhonda's research and writing skills have served her in the workplace, as well. She produces reports, press releases, project proposals, instruction manuals and histories. She brings energy and attention to detail to every undertaking.
