Description

Filled with more than 50 never-before-seen celebrity photos, this first-person account of the Golden Years of Hollywood will enthrall readers as insider BUDD MOSS takes them on tour with Rita Hayworth, and behind the scenes of what made Hollywood tick, how the stars got plum roles, and who made big decisions. The backroom secrets of the movie world are all spelled out in "HOLLYWOOD"; the mechanisms of contracts, salaries, and how filmdom's deals were made. Preview copies of "HOLLYWOOD" have garnered rave reviews: Rona Barrett: "It has been 20 years since I hung up my pencils and microphone, but reading Budd Moss' fast-paced book "Hollywood" brought back many memories of how deals were made, and the heartbreaks. Budd was a top Hollywood agent who never gave up..." Robert Wagner: "I have always believed you have a deep spirit...it is a MUST read...I know it will be a bestseller this year."

Author Biography:

Budd Burton Moss grew up in the shadow of the Hollywood Hills. His father Lou B. Moss was film editor at 20th Century Fox and his uncle was iconic Sam Zimbalist; Qua Vadis and Ben Hur producer. In his youth he was an actor and aspiring matador. He knew Elizabeth Taylor, Robert Wagner and Jack Valenti; he married Ruth Roman. In the 1960s, following the family's legendary Hollywood footprints, he became a talent agent to the stars including Rita Hayworth. Sidney Poitier was best man at his wedding to Carolyn at Melvin Belli's home. Larry King wrote the forward to his books. The success of Budd Moss' bestselling debut book "All I got Was 10%" prompted the dynamic volume two: "HOLLYWOOD".
