Description

He accomplishes this without doing the deep dive into digital camera functionality that befuddles most users. Instead he creates a user-friendly journey through his own experience, touching on those aspects of the visual experience that painting and photography have in common and leaving the reader with a better understanding of how photography can indeed make an artist a better painter.

Author Biography:

Michael Weymouth (Hingham, MA) began his career as an illustrator but soon moved into graphic design to be on the front end of the creative process, founding Weymouth Design (with offices in Boston and San Francisco) in the early 1970s. He became as well-known for his photography as for his firm's award-winning creative design. Now semi-retired, he devotes much of his time to painting in oils and watercolors, using his digital camera to enable his painting.
