Author Biography
Paul Harrison has spent much of his professional life working within the UK's criminal justice system, primarily as a police officer, but also working with the Judiciary at the Royal Courts of Justice in London. He later worked voluntarily with victim focused agencies supporting abused children and males. As a police officer he had a diverse and interesting career, serving as a dog handler, intelligence officer, as a detective and later, as a profiler. Working closely with the now defunct FBI Behavioural Science Unit in Quantico, he gained a unique and remarkable insight into the minds of some of the world's most violent criminals, including serious sexual offenders, serial killers and murderers. As a crime writer he has had conversations with many of the UK's most infamous felons and killers. His conversation portfolio reads like a Who's Who of murderers. Paul has researched, studied and analysed serial killers for over three decades and is now widely regarded as one of the world's top experts on the phenomenon. As an author, he's penned thirty-three traditionally published books (mainly true crime) and will publish his first novel, Chasing Monsters, in 2018. In his spare time he enjoys watching his beloved Leeds United, walking his German Shepherd dog (Sherlock), and spending quality time with his family. A seasoned event speaker, Paul is popular across the entire crime genre (fiction and non-fiction) and discusses his police career and criminal conversations with killers to sell out audiences.
