Pendulum have struck again. Another album mixing up their musical style just like In Silico before it.
Fans of Hold Your Colour might be disappointed, but if you were part of the group which preferred In Silico then you should be in for a treat.
This time around the vocals are more refined and natural sounding and the music returns closer the the Drum and Bass roots.
All in all, I've found my new favourite album.
The boys dropped the ball big time on this one, could not wait to listen to this album and now I almost wish I hadn't. To me there are three or four standouts and for an album with 15 tracks that aint good! If you were expecting something like Hold Your Colour you will be dissapointed big time. Salt in the wounds is fun and what you would expect, Set me on Fire is devastating and mind bending dubstep driven brilliance, The Island is magic taking you up and keeping you there for the full 9 minutes. Other than that, meh!
Awesome album, I would highly recommend to anyone who is right into the Techno/Rock genre of music and anyone else who is into Dubstep and Electronica
