This made relationships difficult. So, he concentrated on his plans for a career and the use of his talents. Suppressing his true sexuality resulted in some mental and emotional turmoil and sometimes clinical depression. After many years and a broken marriage, he was finally able to break the bonds of unhappiness by finding friends who accepted him and loved him unconditionally, something he never experienced even in his own family.
