Description

Discrimination triggers animosity, which never fails to deceive, especially when doing time for the crime; you never committed. Set in New York City, an African American man has been accused, prosecuted, and jailed for ten years, for the brutal rape of a woman with elite footing in New York. Allen Cole is a respected Oral Surgeon, who emphatically denies even knowing this woman. Bitterness mounts over the allegation, as time passes. Leaving behind a wife and young daughter, hope breaks down five years in, when divorce papers smack of yet another harsh reality. His family, career, and friends all gone. With five years remaining, a deeper psychological intrusive vow of silence is ignited by a serious fall, stirring up PTSD (post traumatic stress disorder) Soulless; the streets of New York become his sanctuary after his full prison stint. In order to survive, he must submit to the psychological torment of the past, in order to deal with his current quandary of being homeless. Though his future is unknown, his animus remains potently controlled. Fifteen years after being sentenced, the altruism of strangers unknowingly aid in executing a mind-blowing detailed course of retribution, meticulously planned. On the final weekend of summer, with the humidity profuse, the pursuit is executed flawlessly, with all responsible having a face to face with karma. His nemesis of indignation is not satisfied, but less intrusive. Fifteen years of isolation, physical and psychological, had him thirsting for this, and a reason behind the obliteration of his life. In the end, entitlement, coupled with hubris, prejudgment and greed, has fanned the flames of vengeance not easily forgotten.
