Description

This is the book that will take you deep into the controversial - and always compelling - world of Dan Brown's newest novel, Inferno. Delivering crucial background on the characters, codes, symbols, secrets and setting of the novel, Inferno Decoded will also provide a wealth of fascinating detail about the historical and cultural background and the questions it raises. As in Michael Haag's previous bestseller, Rough Guide to the Da Vinci Code, the author will illuminate the life and work of Dante Alighieri and his world, medieval Florence. Includes an overview of Dante and his work, along with the other themes of Brown's thriller, a guide to its sources and Tuscan locations, and a look back at the issues raised in the earlier career of Brown's hero, Harvard Professor of Symbology, Robert Langdon.

Author Biography:

He is author of a dozen books, notably Alexandria: City of Memory, a definitive study of Cavafy, Forster and Lawrence Durrell in the city. He has written two books for Profile - The Templars: History and Myth and The Tragedy of the Templars.
