Description

Maternal and infant health are aspects of public health in which the San Joaquin Valley of California lags behind as a region. Recent studies have examined prenatal care utilization among low-income women as positive behavior in pregnancy, but their choices of health information sources have not been frequently studied. Researchers have indicated the need for further investigation into information source preferences among low-income pregnant women as a way to gain improved insight into the health behaviors of the population. This study investigated the preferred sources of health information sources among low-income pregnant women in Kings County, California.
