"Too depressing for too long"
2 stars"
Purchased on Mighty Ape

Interesting characters for each emotion. We expected the story to take us to the dark side and for the brightvside to win out, but we thought the timing was off. The sad part went on so long that we stooped watching it and felt depressed all evening. I watched the remaining part on another day and there was a satisfyingly happy ending. It was just badly paced for us.

"Kids Film with Attitude"
3 stars"

Hey look, very entertaining and so much fun. But Miss 3 suddenly have an attitude after watching this. Just saying, maybe I should've waited til she turned 18.

Description

Growing up can be a bumpy road, and it's no exception for Riley, who is uprooted from her Midwest life when her father starts a new job in San Francisco. Like all of us, Riley is guided by her emotions – Joy, Fear, Anger, Disgust and Sadness. The emotions live in Headquarters, the control center inside Riley's mind, where they help advise her through everyday life. As Riley and her emotions struggle to adjust to a new life in San Francisco, turmoil ensues in Headquarters. Although Joy, Riley's main and most important emotion, tries to keep things positive, the emotions conflict on how best to navigate a new city, house and school.

Inside Out is terrifically funny and smart: a high-concept animated family comedy from Pixar whose playful abstractions appear to have been cultured in an impossibly sophisticated laboratory. – The Guardian

Having tackled toys that talk, robots who fall in love and a rat that can cook, Pixar turns to the emotional inner-life of an 11-year-old girl in the studio’s 15th film. And, once again, they’ve created an animated masterpiece, one of those rare movies that will speak to kids and adults alike. – Mirror UK
