Great CPU for someone that dose a lot of video encoding, photo editing and with a good GPU can handle any game with ease (I have a GTX 1070) My ASUS Z270E motherboard Overclocked it to 5GHz for me without me needing to be a overclocking expert (I have a AIO liquid cooler).

The i7 7700K is still top tier at a reasonable price (with release of the i9). Having been installed with a CoolerMaster Hyper 212 X, core temperature doesn't overheat with stock frequency of 4.2Ghz, will update when I try OC. One of the best CPU's to date with awesome performance. TL;DR: Worth.

Great CPU! I have mine water cooled and OC'd to 5.0GHz (Lidded) and am not finding it is running too hot like some other people are finding. (Must have won the silicone lottery this time.) I was originally having second thoughts on weather or not to buy it and in the end I gave in and brought it. It was a good choice and id recommend to anyone else.
