Author Biography:

Sue Wright, since qualifying as a solicitor in 1981, practiced international finance at Norton Rose for 16 years, during 8 of which she was a partner in the international finance department. Towards the end of that time (in 1995) she started teaching public courses (organized by Euromoney Legal Training) on international loan documentation. When she retired from the partnership in 1996/7 she stayed at Norton Rose on a part time basis, with responsibility for training the banking lawyers. She left in 1999, to work for Herbert Smith, also on a part time basis, in charge of the firm's legal training. She left that position in 2002. Since running the first course for Euromoney in 1995, the course has increased in popularity and become virtually an industry standard for training junior bankers. It is also popular among overseas lawyers. From a start of running two three day courses per year in 1995, she now runs the course for Euromoney once or twice a month all over the world (Hong Kong, Shanghai, Singapore, New York, Tanzania, Kenya, South Africa, Sweden, Denmark, Austria, Moscow, Trinidad, Ireland, Holland and Dubai, as well as London) and has added some additional courses to her portfolio.
