Hunter is falling in love at college in New York. The year is 1988; he is a senior majoring in theater arts and, with his newfound romance, life could not be better. Julie is experiencing a mid-life hurdle in her marriage and family in Mentor, Ohio. It is only the renewal of a benevolent friendship that blunts the sharp edge of the unexpected consequences. Fr. Greg strives to be a good Franciscan friar and retreat house director all the while battling a past demon from the Vietnam War. Each have their own history; each is on their own path; each struggles with uncertainty in the present and the future. None of us escapes the desires of the heart to know that we can love and be loved no matter the time and place. None of us fully appreciates why certain people are placed in our lives for even a brief span to add meaning to our existence. Intersections mixes that raw materials that create all human narratives: love, yearning, sex, commitments, mistakes, selfishness, fear, responsibility, secrets, trust and loneliness. In a stroke of providence, the three stories converge on a wintry afternoon.
