Growing up, Dana and her older sister, Julie, are inseparable, until a devastating secret compels Dana to flee from home, not to see or speak to her sister for sixteen years. Author Biography

Carla Buckley was born in Washington, D.C. She grew up overseas, but returned to Washington for high school and college. She has worked in a variety of industries, including a stint as an assistant press secretary for a US Senator, an analyst with the Smithsonian Institution, and a technical writer for a defence contractor. She currently lives in Columbus, Ohio, with her husband, an environmental scientist, and three children.
