John Cromar is headhunted by the big boss of Srathanach, a highly efficient organisation with a rare and very effective philosophy. His army experience and chemistry degree land him a job in the lab at Srathanach as well as pilot of the newly developed aircraft, the like of which the world has never seen. As word spreads of Srathanach's innovations, others - some of whom are very influential and have the government's ear - begin to take more than a healthy interest in the company with the aim of a takeover, hostile if necessary.
