Jan Maree is in her autumnal thirties and newly single. Fever Bitch! is the phrase she uses to describe her fast approaching Spinster Critical Mass. Very much a true story Fever Bitch! follows Jan on her quest to shake off relationship failure and do as her best girlfriend tells her to, and “get back on the horse”.

The desire to extend on her already successful comedy-cooking show concept Eat Me (winner, NZICF Best Show 2009, nominee NZICF Best Show 2007), she decided to showcase a new take on the humble toastie, which is what she ate a lot of after the break up.

Mixing stand up seamlessly in and out of cooking toasted sandwiches, and ending the show with an inspired dance number Jan muses over video dating, supermarket pickup lines, the cougar-dom dilemma and the blight of 18 year old girls in the pub.

A chatty fast moving evening of comedy packed full of gags that anyone who has ever had love, lost love or is looking for love will find enlightening, engaging, entertaining… and most importantly funny as hell
