"Short. Sharp. Sweet. Done"
3 stars"
Purchased on Mighty Ape

This game is pretty wicked, although can get repetitive after awhile. However I have never played a game quite like the total huge free roam that JC2 has. The graphics are just so cool, especially the mountains, forests and sea! However I was a bit disappointed with the quick main-story line, a small choice of weapons and arsenal and repetitiveness of taking over bases and areas for the gangs. I can compare this disappointment to Assassins Creed – Amazing game right? Awesome graphics? But the story line itself is quite short, and it's….. repetitive. Although over all the 10 or so hours I played hardcore were absolutely amazing, fun-filled and enjoyable, but now the game is uninstalled, and cannot be resold because it locks in with the account activated on steam… I rate 5/10 on game play, 9/10 for action and 10/10 for graphics. – Yes, even my mother who doesn't play video games agreed the graphics were just awesomeness.

"80's Action Movie: The Game"
5 stars"
Purchased on Mighty Ape

And not in a bad way. In the best, most fun and polished sort of way. I haven't encountered a game that has felt this polished and just pure unrestrained fun in a long time.

The game is fun and challenging without tripping over itself to make it harder for you. You truly can do whatever you want to get an objective done. Feel like you could do with a bit more speed? Get your black market buddy to drop off a muscle car for you, in the middle of a mission. Are you of the mind that explosives solve everything? Get him to drop off a rocket launcher for you as well!

Combined with the fluid integration of the grappling hook, the game is just pure, ridiculous fun. For the first hour, I just couldn't stop laughing and occasionally going “Oh man, really?” at the things the game lets you do. Grappling two objects (Or people) together can have some hilarious results.

"An action rush from beginning to end"

I love this game. Where else can you jump out of a helicopter, free fall hundreds of metres onto the bonnet of an enemy jeep, punch out the driver and then leap off again while the now driverless jeep takes out a petrol station in a huge fireball? And that's just while you're driving around the countryside! Brilliant!

"Open like no other game."
4 stars"

Very good game. While story is short and very average the game makes up for it for having such a huge amount of things to do. Steal a chopper head to a mission, on the way take over a Military base, attach some people to your chopper via grapple hook for some funnies and fly off into the horizion to cause more chaos. This game has great graphics and a HUGE amount of things to do. The only bad things are the sparsity of checkpoint in missions and the fact that there are few weapons and cool vehicles. Once you master the Grapple-Hook you'll want it in every game!

"why?"
5 stars"

just cause 2 is great, so much fun and one of the largest open maps i have ever seen in a sanbox game. Has some pretty nice graphics for a sandbox game and has plenty of vehicles and weapons to cause havok all around the massive playable island of panau. There are also websites with mods to help increase the level of fun you can have in this game. This game is so fun that even after you have finished it you are no where near done and always find yourself continuing to play and explore and asking yourself why? And the only answer to that question is Just Cause…2

"Brilliant massive game with endless possibilities."
5 stars"
Purchased on Mighty Ape

I found this game to be thoroughly enjoyable. The player is thrown into destructive missions right from the start, and blowing up everything with a variety of weapons is immensely satisfying. The missions are well paced and exciting, and are always forcing the player to try out new methods in order to succeed. However, in the lull between getting missions, or if you just want a change, you have a MASSIVE world to explore. If you want to get from one end to the other, you'll have to hijack a plane. From shining cities, to massive oceans, to lush forests, to snowy tundras, to scorpioned deserts, this world has it all. You can explore the world, and gain chaos by destroying thousands of government property such as radars and water towers. Just Cause two features a number of unique features that elevates it above other games. First is the grappling hook, which allows you to attach anything to anything, or pull yourself towards thing or things towards yourself. For example, you can grab snipers off their outpost, attach enemies to roofs or exploding barrels, or attach vehicles to objects to disrupt their course. You can also quickly get around by grappling the ground, or scale massive mountains and skyscrapers. You also have a multitude of parachutes, so you can quickly get airborne by ejecting from vehicles or grappling upwards, and engage in fast parachute travel or combat. The game also features innovative vehicle combat, allowing you to clamber around vehicles for cover and pick off enemies one by one. The graphics are top notch, and will scale to fit your video card, especially if your card is an NVIDIA – a number of exclusive effects are available. The graphics are crisp and luscious, and some beautiful long-distance panoramas are rendered. In conclusion, this game is for anyone who enjoys shooters, action games, adventure games, or good games.

"Just Cause 2"

Just like the original…only better in every way! once you have mastered the grappling hook, nothing stands in your way. Nothing beats free fall diving 1,000's of meters , only to grapple a soldier off the edge of a cliff, then parachuting to safety! a must buy!

"frustrating"
3 stars"

when you say what is in just cause 2 it sounds incredibly awesome then when you do them they are disappointing. it is very awkward to do most things like you are trying to stop in the middle of using a grappling hook then you press space trying to stop then your parachute comes out. the game looks nice has a lot of good features the downside is the features sort of feel incomplete or just very awkward.

"Hope it takes longer than 6 1/2 hours to finish" Purchased on Mighty Ape

Haven't played it yet, have spent the last 6 1/2 hours waiting for “steam” to update at 1.5 to 3kb/s on a 10mbps fibre optic connection, if I'd known this game was tied to Steam installation/activation, I wouldn't have bought it, purely because Steam is a massively invasive hunk of viralware that should never be legally allowed.

Hope it's worthwhile

"Great gameplay, badly designed."
3 stars"
Purchased on Mighty Ape

I'm running this game on a MONSTER of a laptop, capable of running Crysis 3 at medium settings with no lag at all.. But this game lags slightly even on its lowest. This is because if you have a dual graphics card, it will only use the inbuilt one (the not-as-good one) causing a whole lot of issues.

The gameplay however, is AMAZING. I'd give it 5 stars.

"Best SandBox Game"

Great game- excellent graphics and interaction.
Many hours can be spent just sight seeing through the island even before playing the main game.

This is sandbox gaming at the very best. Go any where, drive or fly anything.

"Best Game i have ever played!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"

Just cause is like no other game i have played. In the game the world is yours to explore you do missions or just play around. the graphics are great, they are so great that you can even go under water. Over all this is a great game and i recommend this game to anyone who just loves gaming

"Awesome game"

Was wary when I found out it was steamworks but this was the first steamworks game ive bought that didn't have a massive download after I installed it

"Fun Sandbox"
4 stars"
Purchased on Mighty Ape

Personally I prefer Mercenaries over Just Cause, the controls just feel a bit cleaner. But in saying that this is a great sandbox, if your in to sandbox games, such as GTA or Merc.s then get this. It will feel familiar but different.

"Great game, plenty of action, awesome!"
5 stars"
Purchased on Mighty Ape

Just cause 2 is definitely an action packed game and although the story wasn't as captivating as it could of been, the gameplay and choas in the game made up for it. The grappling hook/parachute combo is easy to use and definitely gives people a different way to approach situations. Awesome game.

"GREAT!"

This is a great game that is full of action and looks great if you can run it on full specs

"Don't believe what you read"
2 stars"
Purchased on Mighty Ape

I am not a FPS person but after reading the reviews I thought I would give this a whirl – not sure if it is just me but I found it repeating time and time again. There is not enough progression to get me hooked. The game itself is fine but just gets boring

"Thatz very good game.."

Better than alpha protocol…

"KA BOOM" Purchased on Mighty Ape

An amazing game with a huge open world environment covering 100s of miles. Almost everything in this game can be high jacked or destroyed. Just Cause 2 is more of a fun shoot'em up than a story based game. But it does have missions and a well thought out storyline. With stunning graphics and more fun and explosions than you can possibly handle this is a game you don't want to miss.

"High adrenaline"

i have found this title to be highly addictive and entertaining with all the mini games scattered all over the map and i loved the new overhaul Edios have done with the array of gadets at your disposal right off the bat.
