Is this Justin's best post-relapse album- It's certainly a return to form after the lackluster Single Mothers and Absent Fathers albums, which could have been condensed to a single album, and even that would have been a relative throwaway. And while Kids is a lot less substantial than the revelatory regret-harvest of Nothing's Going to Change, it's a lot more fun. One you can enjoy on a car ride, or among friends. Not just brooding alone over your whiskey, or your sobriety tokens. What we have here is not a magnum opus, but a solid disc that shows us Justin's getting his act together, without taking himself too seriously. And on a Saturday, that'll do.
