KNIGHTS OF THE ZODIAC is a fast-paced, futuristic, action, adventure series which pits the forces of good against evil as the Knights of Athena battle the Knights of Ares for control of the sacred Golden Cloth of Sagittarius…and the Word!! Led by Bronze Knight SEIYA, the Knights of Athena draw upon their amazing martial arts skills as well as their mystical powers, each keyed to a different sign of the Zodiac, as they attempt to defeat PHOENIX and his Black Knights, who would do anything to gain the Cloth of Sagittarius. EPISODES BLACK KNIGHTS APPEAR Seiya interrupts Sienna’s press conference to bring in a police dog, who he hopes wil help them find Ikki Phoenix. In a nearby forest, Shun is attacked by Black Swan, one of Ikki’s men. Hyoga arrives and leaps into the fray. He and Black Swan seem evenly matched. Seiya comes on the scene, but Hyoga refuses his help. Hyoga is on the verge of winning when the other three Black Knights appear, challenging the Bronze Knights before disappearing. Meanwhile, Sienna goes to her private planetarium, where she contacts the spirit of her grandfather and he counsels her to enlist the aid of the Bronze Knights to defeat Ikkie. Ikki gives each of the remaining pieces of the gold cloths to the four Black Knights, who are doubles of the Bronze Knights. DRAGON IN THE GRAVEYARD OF KNIGHTS Sienna visits Seiya at home, bringing a letter from Ikki challenging the Bronze Knights to meet him in a mountainous wasteland and battle for the gold cloth. Meanwhile, Shiryu travels through harsh landscapes to find Mu, the one man who can repair the damaged cloths. On his way, Shiryu must fight animated skeletons in a graveyard of knights. He finds Mu’s home and meets Kiki, a mischievous kid with telekinetic powers. When Mu himself appears, Shiryu appeals to him to fix the cloths. Mu replies that Shiryu must risk his own powers to repair them. Shiryu agrees. Back at home, Seiya has a nightmare that Shiryu’s life is in grave danger. SEIYA BATTLES BLACK PEGASUS Sienna and Tatsumi fly Seiya, Shun and Hyoga to the mountains, where they are to meet Ikki Phoenix and his Black Knights. The Bronze Knights take their pieces of the gold cloth with them. The three Knights split up, and Seiya meets Kiki, who has arrived with Seiya’s restored cloth. Kiki tells Seiya how Shiryu drained much of his mystical power to restore the cloth, and says Shiryu was still weak when he left. Seiya tries on the cloth, and it is more powerful then ever. Heading toward the agreed upon place of battle, Seiya encounters and fights Black Pegasus. After a tough fight, Seiya wins, but then he realises that Black Pegasus’s punches have infected him with a negative energy which makes him weak and feverish. Seiya falls off a cliff onto a rock ledge, dropping his piece of gold cloth as well as the one he won from Black Pegasus. Meanwhile, Hyoga battles Black Swan and defeats him as well. Walking right past the all but unconscious Seiya, Hyoga meets Ikki, and their battle begins.
