The ink runs smoothly, easy to write with. The M16 ink which has to be replaced once used is expensive ($11 approx.) but they do last a long time. Ink branches slightly on the paper but is perfect on high quality paper (lower the quality, higher the branches).The matte finish is very pleasing to the eye. Perfect for those who want a break from writing with a fountain pen. I am very happy with this product.
