This is the fourth “Dead” film by George A. Romero. First was “Night of the Living Dead”(1968), then “Dawn of the Dead”(1978), followed by…wait for it!.....“Day of the Dead”(1985). This one is presumably the final instalment, and although weaker than the other three, it still has a large amount of social relevance and sheer terror, with all those Romero trademarks, to make it a standout from other inferior entries in the (especially recently) walking dead genre. If you're a fan of Romero's “Dead” films, you need to have this. Of course you do! If you're not, give it a watch, but I'd advise you start with “Night of the Living Dead” or “Dawn of the Dead” first.
