A first rate cast. Bradley Walsh as Ronnie is especially watchable. Some of the script can be a little over earnest and the original US plots do not always sit easily in an English setting despite some clever rewrites by Chris Chibnall and others. However, very easy watching and I recommend giving it a go. After having seen Jamie Bamber as Apollo in Battlestar Galactica, it is interesting to watch him here without the assumed American accent.
Law & Order UK is the British spin-off from the longest-running crime series in the history of U.S. television and became a big hit with audiences and strong ratings for ITV. Serving up far grittier and powerful portrayals of crime than its original counterpart, and filmed on the streets of London, the UK series ran for eight years.
The series stars Bradley Walsh (host of popular game show The Chase), Jamie Bamber (Battlestar Galactica), Harriet Walter (The Young Victoria), Ben Daniels (The State Within), Freema Agyeman (Doctor Who) and Bill Patterson (Little Dorrit) and a well-known guest cast of British favourites.
Special features include a dossier of DVD extras including behind-the-scenes interviews, set visit, audio commentary, deleted and extended scenes.
