Heart disease is the number one killer in the U.S. These are incredible numbers that are projected to only increase if we keep doing what we're doing. The good news? You have the power to control your fate in this area. By incorporating a healthy diet, increasing your exercise and losing weight, you can greatly reduce your chances of weight-related disease. Author Biography

Linda Kennedy, B.S., CSCS, SNC, FMS has been in the fitness industry since 1993 as a fitness expert, public speaker and published author. She works as a weight loss and lifestyle coach, strength & conditioning specialist, post-rehabilitation and functional movement specialist, class instructor and mentor. A winning fitness competitor, she has appeared on Fox 6 News and been featured in local newspapers for her LEANPower!(r) Exercise and Nutrition System, which has helped countless clients lose over 900 pounds, 350 inches and still going. Through her scientific approach of medical-grade metabolic testing, Sub-max V02 cardiovascular assessments, customized program prescription and routine follow-up, she has seen all types of clients make measurable and lasting changes in their weight, fitness level, lifestyle and health. Her clients have ceased using cholesterol and blood pressure medications, detected breast cancer and other diseases, and re-established hormonal balance due to her methods.
