Description

This novel further chronicles Mikey O'Farrell's troubled life, from his late teens into his twenties, a follow-up to Book l, describing the effects of his molestation by a stranger as a little boy, and later by the priest he serves as an altar boy. It deals with his struggle with his sexuality into early adulthood. Convinced he is heterosexual, he lives a deeply troubled lifestyle, consumed by guilt but convinced in time he will "convert" into the heterosexual lifestyle for which he yearns. He nevertheless lives a secretive gay sexual life, even throughout his marriage, during which his child is born. The marriage is doomed since Mikey never becomes capable of fidelity, and then he discovers that his wife is also unfaithful. The descriptions of gay sexual practices is quite graphic, representing the reality of certain gay men, and how it affects Mikey's life from early teens to his twenties. Anyone who would be offended by such graphicness, should probably not read the novel, as little is left to the imagination in the interests of verisimilitude. Born in Washington State, around the time of the Punic Wars. I am currently a resident of Woodland Hills, California, with my three companion dogs, who tolerate me despite my faults. I admit to being a fugitive from two marriages and assorted relationships with both genders. Don't hesitate to email me if you have any complaints (or kudos) for my novels. I'll respond and promise to keep my Mafi a friends at bay. mward2@socal.rr.com.
