The author is a seventy-six year-old retiree with a wife of 42 years, two children, two grandchildren and one great grandchild. He is a veteran of over twenty years in the United States Air Force, retiring in 1968. He again retired from a second career in 1994 from Ford Motor Company as a UAW-Ford employee of twenty-three years. He resides in Simpsonville, Kentucky, where he and his Jack Russell Terrier, Cricket, engage in numerous pursuits including wildlife photography and involvement with his church, Olive Branch United Methodist Church. He daily visits his wife who is confined to a Nursing Home in Shelbyville, Kentucky. He felt the need for a book of a spiritual Christian content to pass on his thoughts and convictions to his descendants. Our culture, which seems to be straying from that which our Founding Fathers envisioned, is being endangered by a secularism that may well end our great nation as a world power. This book is offered in that spirit. The poetry is something that he has dabbled in over the years and gives insight into his thoughts and values.
