"Like it was recorded yesterday"

The restoration on this unique concert experience will fool younger viewers thinking this was a recent concert if they didn't know any better. The 1080 HD 35m film is sharp with barely noticeable grain. I can only imagine what the 4K version looks like. A great tribute to the band, and the concert event. Michael Hutchense's magnetic stage presence can be experienced in full glory. The camera work shows off the band and the massive Wembley audience. I don't have Dolby Atmos, but the DTS 5.1 surround sound is cleanly mixed. The documentaries on the original dvd release are missing so I hope the extra space on the Bluray is used for the full video and sound remaster. A never-before-seen song, “Lately”, from the concert is also included for the first time. An absolute must have for INXS fans and those with a thumpin' Home Cinema system used for both concerts and movies; you will not be disappointed.

"Disappointing audio"
1 stars"

Bought this and was really looking forward to the 4k release. Played it on my bluray player through a Onkyo receiver and polk audio speakers. As it started l noticed straight away that the picture was a huge improvement. Then the sound started and thought something was wrong, didn't sound right. The sound has been heavily compressed to the point it was unlistenable. Michael's voice comes through fine, the rest of the band sound muddy and distant, hard to distinguish the instruments. Went into the 3rd song, it was so bad l ejected the disc. This could of easily been a 5+ star but the audio has completely ruined it, just disappointing

Description

Live Baby Live

On Saturday 13th July 1991 INXS, one of the world’s most revered and iconic bands, delivered the gig of their lives at London’s Wembley Stadium to 74,000 ecstatic fans. After a decade and a half on the road the band were at the peak of their live powers and the performance filmed that day shows they were not only a world-class stadium band but the only band that ever had the guts to walk onto the stage at Wembley Stadium in front of 74,000 people and jam their own intro! The band played over 2000 shows before singer Michael Hutchence’s untimely passing 20 years ago, but Wembley was THE ONE, not only were the band on fire, but the audience was too, both band and crowd knew this would be the performance of a lifetime. What’s more there were no screens, no ramps, no backing singers, no props and cell phones just six guys playing as though their lives depended on it. INXS delivered hit after hit to an ecstatic audience for nearly two hours!
