"A fairly good headset"
4 stars"
Purchased on Mighty Ape

My experience with the Logitech ClearChat Comfort USB Digital Headset has, thus far, been a relatively positive one. It is a case of “You get what you pay for” – It's no $100 headset, but there again, it's definately not a cheap one either.

The audio quality is good, but not fantastic. In my opinion, I can't really tell too much of an increase in performance from my other headset which was not USB on my rather budget soundcard.

I find that when using the microphone there is a lot of background noise, not related to anything going on around me, which is not too good. The sound quality of the micrphone is very good though, it comes out really clear apart from the background noise from this “noise cancelling microphone.”

I find that the headset is relatively comfortable to wear, I have to take it off about once every hour or so, to give my ears a rest; I feel that it fits probably just a bit too tightly, but it's not too bad.

Another thing that I find different, not necessarily negative though, is that the microphone is on the left hand side. I'm not sure what the norm is, but I know my old one was on the right side, so it has taken a bit of getting used to.

The headset itself looks rather nice, and has a padded top, which prevents any pain from being caused to the top of the head after prolonged wearing.

In all though, a good headset, and I would recommend to anybody who is thinking about getting a USB headset; you will not find much better than this, at this price. It really is worth every cent. 4/5 Stars. Good, but not quite pushing that excellence boundary.

Nice quality, reasonably comfortable, overall a good headset for the price.

For it's price and size, you get good value out of what you pay for. Mic and audio quality are a cut above what you'd expect. They're comfy and light, meaning you can wear these things for hours on end if you're that way inclined. The one and only gripe I have with these things is they make my ears awfully hot after a while.

We use these these for all our work computers – they are used for Skype calls and I personally use it all day to listen to music and drown out the maddening office noise around me

"Pretty Good"

I've been using this headset for the past 6 or so months and it's worked fairly well throughout that time.

Having said that, after a month or so of having it part of the adjustable extender broke. I now have to be careful when using the extender or the whole thing will just come apart. The headset still worked, but not what I'd expect after just a month of use.

Despite that I am very pleased with how it has worked and would still recommend it to anyone looking for a relatively cheap but reliable headset.

"Not terribly comfortable, but does the job"

As a guy with a big noggin', it's not the most comfortable, and my ears get quite sore from the pressure after a while. I've never been a fan of the over-the-head style headphones, I much prefer the ones that hook over your ears and go around the back of your head. That way it's not applying pressure to stay on your head.

Been having problems with sound dropout lately as well, with one ear losing sound for a split second at a time, in short bursts, which is enough to be disorienting. It seems to be a connection problem around the section of the cable where the mute button sits.

The microphone is pretty good quality though, and I can't fault that side of it.
