having now used this product for over a year, i must say that it is one of
the best things any dedicated flight sim fan can have. the programing capacity
of this hotas system is not matched by any other stick on the market, bar the x52
pro. versitiliy, durability and good looks, if i can teach it to cook,
i'm leaving my wife for it.

Bought this for Elite: Dangerous and Star Citizen. Can't go wrong with this.
tested it in Elite Dangerous – simply awesome HOTAS (after spending a couple of hours fine tuning all its modes and bindings using Logitech programing tool). This is a great all-around gaming joystick. The buttons and the hats on both the throttle and stick are very well positioned. I personally could use a few more programmable buttons on the stick base :) I'd buy it again in a heartbeat and recommend it to my friends.
One truly cool H.O.T.A.S system. Plays Gloriously, still working out how to configure it, but for all those 1337 guys out there, truly awesome.
Been using the X52 for about 2 weeks now .It's smother and more precise than the cyborg evo force control which is still a good control and has served me well for quite some time now. I did find that the throttle was very sticky and became quite stiff while using it . This can be fixed though .Remove the cover off the bottom and you will find a white clamp screwed to the center of the shaft .The clamp has rubber pads on it which grip tight to the plastic shift .Just put some grease like you find on the gears of a dvd player to each half of the rubber pads and put it back on . Now you'll have a nice smooth throttle with just the right amount of resistance. I did find some threads on theDCS Black shark web site that had a similar problem . Apart from that it's well worth it and the programming ability of the keyboard assignments to the 3 modes is an excellent feature and not to hard to do.
This was a great product i love using it and i would buy another, if this one broke. what i found that was handy is that you can make different profiles, for games like FSX and for HAWX, this was great for HAWX as it came with the Throttle and the rudder on the stick was great. if your thinking of buying this i suggest getting it, i am now thinking of buying the X52 PRO as i am sure it will be greater
This is a great product and at under $200 you can't go wrong. Only reason that this product does not get a full 5 stars is that the profile software is clunky and iritating to deal with, If they had paired up with razer to deliver their profile software (like the belkin speedpad n52te pro) it would get a full 5
Insufficient key binds and terrible compatibility
To be honest, this will do most people for anything they want. The only reason I got rid of it was because I upgraded to the X56. I did not upgrade for needing anything extra, I upgraded because I could. I would buy this happily again, there are so many functions that you rarely need to take your hands off, it is a true HOTAS
Fast shipping and works perfectly.
Great setup for a budget unit. You will need to find a way to secure both controls as the supplied suction caps arent up to long sessions.
I bought the X52 primarily to play Elite Dangerous in VR and the X52 didn't disappoint. Very comfortable and easy to configure. Easily makes the VR experience far more immersive and enjoyable as I don't have to take off the VR Headset. Also very smooth to use (so far.) Button placement on the throttle is a little odd as you have to stretch around the porkchop-shaped grip to reach some of the buttons, but again its a minor thing and you get used to it pretty quickly. This was obviously made for someone with giant hands. Wouldn't recommend it for Donald Trump. All in all, I found it great value for money.
If you have a VR headset and Elite Dangerous, this is the last item you'll need to have your own spaceship!
After testing the x52 with il2 1946 I found it to be brilliant, I was suddenly finding that my aerial gunnery had vastly improved and my flying was far more precise. The stick has a very light feel to it that takes some getting use to, and setting the right buttons can be a bit of a daunting task for a newbie to HOTAS. The twist handle is nice and tight and I no longer find myself swerving from side to side when lining up for a kill. The throttle is nice and precise, and thanks to the adjustable tension on it, I no longer find my self throttling up too fast on an old German jet fighter and finding that my engines have just caught on fire! Over all this is a brilliant system and I would reccomend it to anybody who is thinking of taking the leap from a basic stick to something more advanced.
