Logitech G933 RGB Wireless 7.1 Gaming Headset reviews

The Sound in these just blew me away and the Bass well no words can describe it. If you know someone that has one or if you see one on show in a shop somewhere go try it out yourself as this did amaze me soon as I got this.

Definitely was well worth getting, before I got these I had the Logitech G35 and I thought that was great well the G933 just overtook that one didn't it lol :)

Thought it would be totally worth spending the extra $30 for the wireless, but after one day, and having the usb charging plugged in half of the time, I realised the wired would be less hassle. Having the cool lets saps the battery more so is deemed useless on the wireless, and battery time is valued. I think if you want the cool Leds on, to impress viewers or surrounding people go with the wired. Also if you Game long hours, the wired is probably best. When this headset gets within the last hour of charge its beeps every 2mins which is just an annoyance. There a several beeps which mean things, haven't quite figured them out yet. Otherwise headset sounds amazing, I would rate and I'm an audio engineer. Lacks in some areas but has 3 modes ( treble mode, flat mode, bass boost ) A lot more usability is available on PC and not sure if you can carry presets over via the internal storage of the headset. There is NO mac software si I can't test this. But for a ps4 user is does the job. Sounds great, good mic (quiet voice monitoring though) and I like the flip up to mute feature.

Verdict – would buy the wired still. 8/10 for ps4, just lacks preset customisation that you'd get on PC.

I am not an audiophile, but this headset is everything I expected. The sound is crystal clear, super comfortable and stylish. I wish the mic audio quality was better, much better, so I could use it to record my YT channel. But that's alright.

Its hard to reconcile that I've had such poor sound for so long, and that's just because I didn't know what I was missing out on. These are amazing headphones – really comfortable, clear and precise sound. If you set the headphones to not use the lights the battery life is fine for 5–6 hour stints, and the usb charging cable is about 2 metres long so you can use them as wired for an hour if the do start running out. I can't speak of the microphone as I use a studio mic on an overhead boom for gaming.

It has awesome sound quality and the battery lasts 2 days on 1 charge. Would recommend for those who hate cables dangling everywhere.

My brother ordered these off my account and he reckons they're really good. Apparently quite comfortable for extended periods (family of gamers) and sound really good, especially for being wireless. He did have some issues with the cable that they came with and said it was really touchy and would disconnect easily which made it hard to use them while he played. He started using his phone charger instead and said he's had no issues since, but this is why I'm only giving 4 stars :)

The G933 is a significant improvement over the G930.

Far more comfortable. Superior sound quality. Virtual 7.1 is controlled with a software switch, instead of the hardware switch that doesn't work half the time. Virtual 7.1 is a much better representation of actual surround sound and is significantly less echo-y Better build quality. G930 feels cheap by comparison. Battery can be easily accessed and replaced. Comes with a nice braided cable instead of a silly charging station. Can connect to audio port as well as USB. Power button is now a switch. Much easier to turn off and on.

The only problem I have with is is that the macro buttons, mute button and volume slider are all quite a bit smaller and compacted together off to the side. The layout on the G930 was much better, in my opinion.

4.9outa 5 :) I love the sound quality and features of this headset; storing the USB dongle is also great meaning you have a place to keep it if using the headset analogue. The only thing stopping me give it a 5 is the battery life being on the short side for my nightly gaming sessions.

Mighty Ape are awesome. This product could have been great but quality of soldering let's it down. Had two and 2nd one lasted longer than the first. Trying another one now. MA- You guys have the best online experience I've found so I'm staying with you.

Fantastic headset with really good mic and audio quality, heaps of software customisation too.

Mean headset, I own turtle beach, steel series and older Logitech headsets and this one by far surpasses any of the others, the only downside is for Xbox one you need to use the wired connection to the controller rather than the USB wireless adapter (turtle beach hold those rights with Xbox one..) but other then that all the features work mint and the audio quality is exceptional!

Durable, well constructed, absolutely stunning audio quality, comfy on ears, good battery life and great design, and a clear microphone.

Absolutely loving mine and if you have the money to spare, this is one of the better candidates out there.

The audio is great but I believe the mic quality could be improved, If you only plan on buying this for the audio thats fine but if you're searching for better mic quality I dont think this item is for you.

Very nice headset. Sound is great with nice bass. It also nice being able to replace the battery for future battery problems. Price point I don't think id pay $325.00 for them but at the sale price of around $250.00 then they are a good buy. Overall a great headset id rate them about 4 out of 5 Thanks again mightyApe

Alrighty, when this Logitech G933 Wireless 7.1 gaming headset was released I bought it promptly back in November 2015. My previous G520 (I think that's what it was; Logitech's 5.1 wi­reless headset) kept on causing me to crash to desktop when gaming – not all the time but often enough. So I thought this newer one, the G933, would be better. When the G933 arrived it worked ok for a day or two then I started having charging issues and eventually it was for all intents and purposes unusable. To Mighty Apes credit they promptly replaced it. And I thank them for their fine manner in dealing with me on that issue. Anyway, today, Monday 13 November, 2017, my replacement G933 is no longer in existance. It worked fine when I received it way back then, but on the odd occassion it would sometimes cut out with the same issues as my first G933. But it was a rare occurrance. But now, for the past several weeks the problem has been getting worse. Until today when I had enough. I was fuming as I simply could not play and chat at the same time as the headset kept cutting out with the same problems as my first G933. I typed a message to the person I was playing with asking him to hold on. I took the headset outside, and with all my might smashed it on the concrete I was that mad and frustrated with this piece of Logitech trash! I must admit I derived much satisfaction with that action. Now, at the end of this day I am well and truly over it. I will never, ever, buy another Logitech Headset again. When it worked it was great. But the problems of it being unusable greatly overides any positives I had with it. And the only reason why I am not giving this a 1 star rating (wish I could give less) is because of the fantastic service I got from Mighty Ape, the benefit of such spilling over into my rating of the G933 headset. I had no intention of contacting Mighty Ape for another refund or replacement – I simply wanted to rid myself of this bane to my gaming existance asap – will simply write off that cost to life experience. A few hours after this woeful event I purchased a Sennhesier headset (https://www.mightyape.co.nz/…ack/23016142) and hopefully that will prove to be a much better experience!

I bought this headset mainly for my Xbox One and it was very bad decision. The headset works great for sound but for voice it's terrible, I joined a party to talk to my friends and they all said I am to quiet. So after using the in-line microphone and the boom mic I came to the conclusion that it there was no fix for it. All in all I should of done my research before purchasing this headset.

Works perfectly and fits comfortably without stressing my ears. Sounds superb as well.

Do not buy, item will drop out constantly, will block out applications audios randomly and youll find yourself taking out the usb every 5 minutes and putting it back in

The sound is high quality – can not fault it. However, the microphone quality is absolutely terrible. At times it sounds like I am being smothered by a pillow in the middle of the Sahara desert, other times I'm at an underwater wind farm. If your looking for sound quality only, this headset is for you. If your looking for microphone quality, I recommend looking at other options.

Right Logitech Needs to make sure, all the management got the sack after not fixing this Item with a new patch (Firmware update) but yet has failed there Customers on this Product and let kids write Firmware software updates!!! and yet not help!! Have not RESOLVED the issue… With Logitech!! ☠️☠️☠️ 🎧

I have purhcased 2 pairs of these for my 2 gaming PC's and Consoles. The sound is really good, great 3d sound effects and very customisable, the RGB light is a bit gimmicky but we all know a bit of coloured light does make it feel nicer. The Mic is pretty good, but it does pick up allot of whats around you. The worst thing for me about the headset is the creaking plastic parts, Drives me crazy each time I put the headset on and when I move around it creaks. People Im gaming with will also hear this creaking of the headset through the mic.

This headset broken within a year then they weren’t easy to deal with returns.. Ended up just cutting my loss

Logitech was my go-to brand for such a long time: great sound, low price. How could hardware this good be so cheap-!-

But after owning my G930 headphones for years they started cutting out. I bought a G933 for home and shifted my faulty G930 to work – different OS, software, everything. Then I realised both headphones had the same issue with the sound constantly dropping. The headphones would cut out, reboot and 10s later I would have audio back.

The hardware is amazing and the sound quality of these things is unbelievable for the price. The software hamstrings this, with it being unable to hold a minute at it's worst without a 10s reboot of the headphones.

I wish they would roll back whatever the hell they updated, because none of the headphones on Win7/Win10 work now.

I'd happily give 10/10 two years ago, but now it's impossible to listen to music using their headphones. What a shot in the arse…

Have been using these for a while now and I have been really satisfied with them ! have been epic for gaming and also vbery good for watching movies and videos and normal everyday functions.

Served me well for the first 3months, but now constantly disconnecting and reconnecting every few mins, sleep timer is off, have installed the latest realtek, re-installed ghub software, re-installed firmware, but still the problem persists..

Turns out MANY more of these headsets have the same issue..not worth the hassle

I bought these about 2 years ago. They were awesome. Before these I had two sets of G930s that both ended up failing on me. Wouldn't charge. Now, a few months ago (probably about 4 months before this review) I started having intermittent problems with audio quality and one side would cut out. Turns out the power switch eventually faults out and is a very common problem that Logitech fails to acknowledge. After these, I won't be buying anything Logitech when it comes to audio again.

When I first bought these they worked great, great sound, sturdy, but an update caused the reciver to stop working and Logitech have done nothing to fix it. This problem appears to be very common with G933 owners, many that have contacted Logitech with no response. I recommend putting your money toward a different brand. Mighty Ape service was great.

I got it in 2016 and for a couple of months it worked well but then it started to disconnect for no reason. Its apparently a Factory problem that affected these headsets and I would be careful if buying this. Sound quality and battery life is great though.

I have both the G933 and the G633 and compared them side by side and I have found some recurring issues with these headsets. Yes this headset definitely shines in audio quality but is let down my it’s lack of quality materials. This is by far the creakiest headset I’ve ever used as it is made mostly of plastic and even comes with low quality ear pads to top it all off. Personaly I didn’t even know plastic could be so heavy, don’t ever try to use it VR. The heaset is only wireless if you have the USB dongle it comes with so kiss goodbye to any hope using this with mobile devices, yes I know it’s designed only to be used with PC and comes with wired capabilities with other devices but at that price point I would expect something. I believe this headset is more of a proof of concept rather than a polished product, there is much better options at this price point that work with all devices

It’s a little disappointing that the wireless feature doesn’t work on the Xbox but the sound quality is great, the bass response is really thumping, the mic controls are a little hard to know what they are set at on the cable, I have had to unplug most the time too checkbif the mic is on or off. But over all a great set of gaming headsets.

Logitech's software is the worst in the industry. I've had 1 RMA's and and bought a corsair headset which was a downgrade sound quality wise because i just couldnt be bothered with the constantly disconnecting/is­sues this headset has. It worked great for 6 months then non stop problems, new headset same thing except it dies conveniently after my warranty expires. I'm never buying a logitech product again purely because the software/hardware interaction from this company is beyond useless

i use my headset daily, love the customization on it, if the LED's are off it does last longer, do have a tip use a USB plug in adapter to charge as if you charge on the computer it stays on even when its switched off

Love these headphones. Only drawback is battery life. But I just plug them in when needed. Otherwise, perfect audio quality for gaming. Always make out directional shooting perfectly.

I did use the g930 but they like to snap but this headset is god like. Not the best for consoles but for pc the best

The headband pad wasn't glued on properly, could've returned but too much hassle just for flappy padding. The adjustment mechanism was super loose, not sure if it's designed that way or not but it was really annoying to adjust. Overall nice pair of headphones, just not worth what I paid, even with the discount I got.

Was pretty excited to receive these bad boys. It finally arrived and it turns out they can't connect to the xbox one via through wireless USB. :(

Simple to setup and has great sound with tons of options to make the sound the way you like it. Will give you 10+ hours on a single charge and if you disable the lights you can get up to 12. Very comfortable and I had no issues wearing them for 6+ hours. Only issue is they look huge on my head but who cares, comfort over looks right-

Bought it home, didn’t work out of the box and had to reset and update the firmware to work. Worked fine for about five minutes before the wireless would occasionally dropout. When it’s really bad it drops about three times per minute, will definitely return and seek refund. But I have to say the sound effect is really good while it worked

Fantastic sound and supreme comfort for hours on end. However, like most gaming headsets, the microphone was given little thought, so is average quality for such an expensive headset. The flip up to mute function is handy though. The buttons on the rear of the headset are amazingly programmable, but in reality I hardly used them, so a bit of a waste. Also, I recommend getting the wired version. It doesn't take long for the connection between the charging cord and headset to become inconsistent, leading to lots of annoying beeping. Overall a good experience from this headset though. Solid creation from Logitech.

Great headset all-round, Has a lot of customisation depending on what you'll be using them for and the software is easy to use and as I said very customizable including the lighting, 7.1 or complete custom EQ and look and feel great 9/10 overall, only letdown is after long periods I've found I have to constantly adjust the top band to get comfortable, not sure if I just have a big head or this is a general problem could maybe use a little more cushioning on the top band is all.

I would seriously consider before buying this headset. This headset has really nice sound but is let down but its REALLY short battery life… its semi what comfortable to wear, sorta feels like its sucking onto the side of you head. TL;DR sounds good looks pretty but battery life is terrible!

Extremely good sound quality for the price. Really comfortable and set up in less than a minute.

Very good quality and amazing battery life! Took me a bit to find the perfect size for my fit but once I did they're amazing! Only fault is that they do look a little big on your head, well they do on mine anyway.

This headset looks great and with a bit of tweaking, sounds great. The wireless is great and the battery is pretty good. However I cannot give this a five star review as on both my headset and my friend's the mic failed irreperably, forcing us to send them back.

Love these headphones. Been using for around 6mths, bought these to replace the Logi 930, which were falling apart. 7.1 surround sound is top notch. Battery life is great, much improved connectivity over wifi/bluetoot­h/frequency or black magic, but I experiencing none of the typical drop outs or interference I had with the old 930s. Comfort is more snug then the 930's, but still not too tight enough to give you a headache, no issues with a long gaming session…also, RGB colours are cool.

The G933 are my favourite headphones, battery lasts around 6–8 hours fully charged with lights on. Recommended wireless headphones.

Not much of a expert in anything sound related but really like the coverage/range and the quality of sound.

My most treasured item I've ever owned, had them for close to a year and they've hardly been off my head. Amazing sound quality, battery life lasts a good 12 hours+ and you can just buy a long micro USB charger if it starts to die during a gaming session. Has a very long wireless range, the sound quality is as good if not better than most of my top-end sennheiser headphones.

I'd recommend turning the lights off, you get a lot more battery life, although they're cool to have on if you're playing with friends or something.

Personally I think wireless is a lot better than wired, I don't think you'll ever want to go back once you make the shift. Plus they come with a wire/plug so you can use the headset as headphones with your musicplayer/phone etc. Best of both worlds

The build quality is fantastic, I've dropped them several times, accidentally stepped on them too.

Highest 5/5 star I could ever give.

I've had this headset for around 2 weeks now, and altogether I am very pleased with my purchase. It's a very sturdy headset, and has a snug fit around the ears. The cushioning is tight, but still very much comfortable (As a person who wears glasses, this is definitely a big bonus) and is very good at cancelling out external sound as well as keeping in the sound from the Headset.

Some Positive Points: The LEDs add a nice touch to the design, and add a level of personal customizability, Logitech Gaming Software allows a quick and easy configuration of this as well as the bindings for the 3 mappable ‘G-Keys’

The few issues I've had with this headset are due to an issue regarding the headset placing itself into an inactive state (recognizable by the LEDs becoming a flashing green and a short 3 beeps) which Requires a simple restart of the headset. This differs from the sleep mode after 5-minutes of inactivity. As a side note: This sleep mode is no longer a hard-coded feature. Updating the headset's firmware using the Logitech Gaming Software allows the configuration of the time before entering sleep mode, including turning the feature off completely (as I do).

In general, this is definitely an impressive new Headset from Logitech, and one I can wholly recommend.

I have a couple things that I have to say about this headset. First thing is, that mostly it is great, it works as specified, and it does what it needs to do… Mostly…

There are a few things that annoyed me with this headset. The whole reason I wanted a wireless headset was so I could still talk to people on skype while doing simple things around my flat, which I may mention is really small, it does not nearly reach the supposed 15 meter range, and barely gets past 5 meters without cutting out every now and then. Not sure if that's any kind of interference from my Wireless modem, but it still happens and that's why it gets 1 less star from me.

Also, wearing it for long periods, my ears got really hot, and I don't live in the hottest part of the world, so people who live in Australia you are gonna hate this.
