I've owned quite a few different USB hubs in the past. They usually cause glitches (drivers don't install correctly, devices aren't recognized or issues with my tablet drawing broken strokes), don't draw enough power, and/or just die completely shortly after purchase. This is not the case with this hub. Everything is fully powered (thanks to the external power source), no glitches or driver errors, the build quality is excellent, and the switches (which I THOUGHT I wasn't going to use) have been extremely handy. The switches so far have been used for:
- Powering down my sata->usb board (clears the cache so I can swap drives)
- Turning off my keyboard when I leave the room (so my cat doesn't walk all over it)
- Cutting power to devices charging off usb.
I would highly recommend this hub to anyone looking for a usb 2.0 hub.
