Right from the start, I was drawn into 1983 Malibu & the Riva family. There's so much family drama, and I love that June's story was included – we see how she met Mick, how they formed their family, and how it fell apart. We see echoes of Mick & June in each of their children, whether it's in their personality or in their own relationships. I enjoyed how the story was over one day, showing the lead up to the party, then the party & the aftermath. As the day went on, more & more secrets were revealed, leading to an explosion, both emotionally & literally.
